A few weeks ago, my friends and I embarked on a dangerous adventure. We went shopping while drinking. Ok, that definitely makes it sound like we smuggled flasks with us into the Gap, but I promise you, it was way more classy than that. I hosted a private shopping party at one of my favorite Scottsdale boutiques, Pretty Please. Pretty Please and its sister store, Daisy Blue, have several locations around the valley, and have been my go-to place for cute outfits and gifts for a while now.
A little disclosure here-the owner, Sue Schmitz, is a friend of mine, but I promise I would totally shop here even if I didn’t know and love Sue. Trust me, I’ve turned down many invites to Lia Sophia, Cabi, and Gold Canyon parties; just because I like you doesn’t mean I want to spend my money on stuff I don’t like.
The great thing about Pretty Please is the variety. They carry a lot of well known brands like Miss Me, Sky, Kut from the Kloth, Joe’s Jeans, and Michael Star, as well as an amazing assortment of accessories and gift items. I love that there is such a range in price points at the boutique. There are outfits and accessories for every budget . If you’re in my circle of friends, it’s pretty much guaranteed you’re getting something from Pretty Please at every special occasion. Additionally, my husband and many of the husbands in our crew pretty much know to head to Pretty Please for birthdays, anniversaries, Mothers Day, and any other gift giving holiday. Thank you, Sue!
Back to the shopping party…We arrived at Pretty Please with some appetizers and a few bottles of wine and added those to the table that was already prepared for us with ice, cups, and more snacks…and more wine. Our group browsed and snacked and sipped, and then hit the dressing rooms. It was too much fun. Sue and the wonderful and oh-so-patient (and stylish) Sarah and Kelsey helped everyone feel at home and were awesome at gathering clothes to suit each of the girls’ style and tastes.
Everyone left with some fun new stuff-Trish got a great beach hat for her upcoming trip to Turks and Caicos, Lindsay bought the coolest pair of gauzy soft pants, (apparently “soft pants” are a big thing now), and Jean got her first pair of boyfriend jeans. In fact, Jean learned what boyfriend jeans were that night! (top right photo in collage) Christa purchased the most amazing jean jacket (bottom right), that I have since bought myself. I am planning a whole post about this jacket, it’s that amazing.
All in all, it was a blast. Before I knew it, my watch read 9:30pm and we had pretty much tried on every maxi skirt and soft pant in that place. I’m pretty sure we could have shopped and styled one another for several more hours, and I’m pretty sure Sarah and Kelsey were thankful we didn’t. Thanks, girls-you are awesome! And sorry for pulling those three pairs of pants off the wall-I was just trying to read the tag…
You can set up your own shopping party at Pretty Please; the host and guests receive a great discount, and what can be better than shopping with a group of your friends with a glass of wine in hand?! Their website also lists all their locations; I’m sure my Arizona friends all have a PP close by. Go now!
You can also follow Pretty Please on Facebook! They post great outfit pics and new inventory regularly. Hmmm, do I sense a Pretty Please giveaway in our future? Stay tuned!
