Target and Costco have been my primary shopping destinations the last few weeks, and most of my fashion findings as of late have been combined with shopping for milk and apple juice. I do love me some Target, but I’m still itching to make the 30 minute drive to my favorite shopping mecca-Nordstrom. Soon, my love, soon.
Seriously, though, Target never fails me. I can always find a few cute things there and don’t even get me started on their kids’ clothing. Poor Gracie probably wishes I would branch out, but there’s no need when you can load your cart with eight dollar tutus, Dora the Explorer undies, and kiddie jeggings all while sipping a Starbucks latte.
I am not an impulse shopper at all. I keep a “want it” list on my phone, and add to it when I see something I like. I usually go home and search online for the specific item, and then obsessively read all the reviews I can find. I read reviews for EVERYTHING, from shoes to moisturizer to carpet…yes, even carpet. It’s a bit of a sickness, but I swear, if Susie from Des Moines likes it, I’m in. If the item gets decent reviews, it stays on the list and then I might purchase it the next time I go to the store. Anyway, my two recent Target purchases both passed the review test and made it to my cart.
I am a fan of fresh, cirtusy scents so the Yellow Alluria collection, specifically the body lotion, from Sonia Kashuk caught my eye immediately. The packaging is fancy looking, and the smell is beyond amazing. It’s described as being a blend of grapefruit, verbana, and musk. It’s a great scent for spring, and I have since bought the hand lotion to keep in my purse. Trust me, give this a smell the next time you’re in Target.
My other purchase was a pair of these coral colored flats. I’ve been searching for a pair of leopard flats for a while now, and haven’t found the perfect pair (feel free to post suggestions-help a girl out). But I’m always looking for ways to add some color or something interesting to my wardrobe-I’m not the most adventurous of dressers. Target flats usually run a bit small for my feet, but these are so soft and flexible, the fit was fine. You definitely don’t want to wear these for a day at Disneyland; the support is not great. But these are perfect to throw on for a few errands. They add a little punch of color to an outfit, something this lover of grey, white, and navy needs badly!
And just because I couldn’t stay out of my comfort zone of white Ts for long-I ordered this white eyelet tank from Old Navy. I usually stock up on a few white tanks and t-shirts from Gap or Old Navy every spring. This is my go-to white V-neck from the Gap. I love that they have so many options in their Tall sizes-I really appreciate a little extra length in my shirts.
What have you been buying lately?
