I spent the weekend hanging out with my long-time friends and the founders of Kimes Ranch Jeans, Matt and Amanda Kimes. Kimes Ranch Jeans, formerly Longhorn Jeans, was created through the vision of Matt and Amanda, both life-long quarter horse competitors, after their search for the perfect western jean left them empty handed. Their jeans, made in the USA of high quality denim, have found quite a following in the quarter horse world over the last few years. I’ve seen their easily recognizable longhorn logo on plenty of backsides at horse shows all over the country.Their best-selling jean is the ladies’ Betty. This jean is a slimmer fitting, boot-cut with a mid-rise and a slight bit of stretch. All the women I know who love this jean rave about the way these jeans fit under chaps and how versatile they are on many different body types.
The Watson is the style that leads the way for the men. All the cowboys I know love the Watson, and honestly, I’m sure you’ll agree after looking at this photo, ladies appreciate them as well.
This weekend I got to sneak a peek at their new campaign during a three day photo shoot here in Scottsdale, Arizona. Photographer Antonija Klotz shot some amazing western lifestyle scenes which included sunrise river shots, equine action, kids and ponies, and even a good old fashioned barbeque and dance. The Kimes used several “real” models, but took advantage of the plethora of good looking cowboys and cowgirls we have here in our little neighborhood. My daughter, Gracie, and her pony Trail Mix even got to be a part of the action. Here are a few fun behind-the-scene pics of the action.
I’m super excited to see the the final product. I think I got some cool shots with my Iphone, I can only imagine what Antonia’s photos will look like! Thanks to Matt and Amanda for letting me crash their shoot-it was super fun. Visit the Kimes Ranch website for more information about their great jeans!
