We’re mixing it up a bit this week. Western Wednesday will be back soon, but we decided to join in on the “What I Wore Wednesday” blog fun. And since there’s two of us, you’ll get to see what “WE” wore. Fun, fun. FYI, We’re linking up with some of our favorite WIWW blogs; check out The Pleated Poppy, Because Shanna Said So…, and Get Your Pretty On.
This past week was a fun one at the Parkinson house. It was Gracie’s 4th birthday, and on the day of her actual birthday we had a family movie date and then a few days later we had a big princess party with all of her friends. I was out of my gym clothes at least twice this week! Winning! Here’s what I wore.
Jeans-Gap/T-Shirt-Target/Scarf-old, Similar Here/Sandals-old, Similar Here
I know, it’s summer in Arizona and I’m wearing a scarf…and jeans. But, I freeze in movies so I always wear a scarf or bring a coat. My grandma would be proud. These are my favorite jeans right now, and this t-shirt from Target is great because it is super long, which I love.
Dress-Loft, Similar Here/Tank-Target/Necklace-Loft/Bracelets-Alex&Ani
I wore this to my daughter’s birthday party. I’ve actually had this dress for almost 2 years and haven’t worn it because the neckline was really low. I have no idea why I hadn’t thought to put a tank top on…ugh. I started wearing these Target maternity tanks during my pregnancy (obviously) and they are the best, I wear them all the time. They are a great length for layering and they stay in place. If you haven’t shopped Loft for their accessories, do it! They have 50% sales all the time and you can get some really cute long necklaces like the one in the pic for around 20 bucks!
This past week, I worked a couple days in the salon (Era Salon) but mostly was busy helping Grant get ready for the upcoming horse show in Fort Worth. Happy hour with the girls as well as a quiet date night were also on the agenda. My kinda week! Here’s what I wore.
Maxi dress-JOIE/Black flat sandals(not shown)-ALDO
I adore maxi dresses, I seriously own about 20. This was my birthday gift from my sister (she knows me pretty damn well), and I wore this to my happy hour outing as well as to work that day. Joie makes the most comfy pieces. The cotton is as soft as a baby’s butt! Psst…..Both the maxi and flats are on sale!!!!
Tank-Alternative(old)Similar HERE/Maxi skirt-Splendid/Boots by Old Gringo(old), Similar HERE
I have to be honest, I kinda just threw this outfit together, every piece is at least two years old. But don’t ya just love discovering new/old things in your closet??? Its like shopping without spending money!! Psst….The similar Old Gringo boots I found are on sale!!!
Thanks for joining us for our first “What We Wore Wednesday”!
